what we offer

Launching a business in a foreign market can be a daunting process, but it doesn't have to be.  By becoming a program member of Nordic Innovation House - NY you will gain access to the resources and support necessary to help you quickly acclimate to the local market, and get your business up and running with minimal risk.

Like the 180+ Nordic companies that have become part of our Nordic community in Palo Alto, Nordic Innovation House - NY strives to build a strong Nordic Startup community in New York.  Program members have access to experienced mentors, advisers and coaches through our extensive local network. Our programs and networking events will connect you to fellow locally-based Nordic startups and entrepreneurs, and connect you with key players within the broader New York startup ecosystem.

  • Invitations to present at pitch nights and other NIH-NY events aimed to help you gain valuable exposure to potential investors, partners and/or customers, as well as industry media.

  • Access to NIH-NY's mentor network, including a minimum of 2 meetings facilitated by NIH-NY with selected mentors carefully paired in accordance to your business needs.

  • Access to advisory and support services from your country's trade promotion office in New York (e.g. Innovation Norway, Business Sweden, trade promotion offices within the Consulates General of Denmark, Finland and Iceland). office space

You can combine your NIH-NY membership with one of WeWork's flexible pay-as-you-go plans for either on-demand or dedicated workspaces, or even a short-term agreement for private office space . Utilizing WeWork’s extensive network of co-working spaces in New York, you have everything you need to get up and running: desks, conference rooms, WiFi, printers, and access to WeWork's member network.  Nordic Innovation House - NY is based out of WeWork’s Grand Central location, but Nordic Startups have access to most of WeWork's co-working spaces throughout New York, and in 21 other US cities.

WeWork plans start as low as $45/month for a basic on-demand membership which is ideal for companies that need only occasional access to quality workspaces and conference rooms.  Other plans range from 'hot desks' ($450/month at WeWork Grand Central but as low as $220/month at some non-central locations) and dedicated desks ($750/month at WeWork Grand Central) to private offices (starting at $1200/month at Grand Central) and even custom build outs (varied pricing).  Click on the following link for further details on WeWork's plans and pricing.

Please note that the process of leasing office space from WeWork is handled directly by WeWork and is not related to NIH-NY membership.  WeWork is a valued NIH-NY partner and preferred provider to our members; however, NIH-NY membership does not entitle NIH-NY members to access WeWork, other than as visitors, attendees or participants of meetings or events held by WeWork tenants, including NIH-NY.
