A smart city has the potential to “give back” three working weeks every year to each city dweller.
Singapore’s Smart Nation Initiative, launched in 2014, is yielding results and Singapore awarded as Smart City of 2018 at Smart City Expo World Congress. Another valuable trophy for Singapore was a research done by Juniper putting Singapore on first place globally when measuring citizens mobility, healthcare, public safety and productivity.
Singapore’s ambitions do not stop here, and thanks for commitments from all levels, The Red Dot ecosystem is constantly looking for new innovative solutions to improve the livelihoods of its citizens. This naturally creates interesting opportunities also for Nordic companies.
Nordic Innovation House Smart Cities theme will encourage and support these Nordic initiatives to expand their foothold in Singapore and Southeast Asia in 2019.
In conjunction with Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH) and Slush Singapore and, in collaboration with Business Sweden and Embassy of Finland, we will host multiple matchmaking events with different business partners, and organize other activities in Singapore in September 2019.
Nordic Innovation House Singapore will also support other Nordic Smart Cities related delegations in 2019, which will be led by Business Sweden, Embassy of Finland or Innovation Norway.
