Circular Economy

The way we create and consume must get smarter, in fact, we must look beyond the current take-make-dispose extractive industrial model. Circular economy aims to redefine growth, focusing on positive society-wide benefits. For decades, the Nordic countries have been the forerunners of sustainable, energy efficient, and eco-friendly innovative solutions.

Nordic Innovation House Circular Economy theme will encourage and support these Nordic initiatives to expand their foothold in Singapore and Southeast Asia in 2019.

In conjunction with Singapore International Energy Week also happening in 2019, we will host the Nordic Circular Economy Dialogue session together with Innovation Norway. Furthermore, we’ll also host multiple matchmaking events and other activities in Singapore.

Nordic Innovation House Singapore will also support other Nordic Circular Economy delegations in 2019, which will be led by Business Sweden, Embassy of Finland or Innovation Norway.

Under our Circular Economy theme, Nordic Innovation House Singapore is partnering with Eco-Business and Temasek Foundation Ecosperity in The Liveability Challenge 2019.

Nordic Innovation House is a Challenge  Partner to The Liveability Challenge. This is a global initiative that aims to identify and accelerate the implementation of scalable and impactful solutions within the areas of energy and circular economy for cities in the tropics.

The brightest innovators and companies will have the unique chance to pitch before a panel of judges and investors at The Liveability Challenge Finale on June 7th,  in Singapore. In doing so, they will be in the run of securing up to S$1 million, or winning the opportunity of running a prestigious campaign on a private investor‘s crowdfunding site, namely FundedHere.

The second edition of The Liveability Challenge will be open for submissions on January  10th, 2019. Read more about the program here:
