Circular Economy & Energy
The way we create and consume must get smarter. In fact, we have to look beyond the current take-make-dispose extractive industrial model. The Circular Economy & Energy aims to redefine growth, focusing on positive society-wide benefits. For decades, the Nordic countries have been the forerunners of sustainable, energy efficient, and eco-friendly innovative solutions.
Nordic Innovation House – Circular Economy & Energy theme will encourage and support these Nordic initiatives to expand their foothold in Singapore and Southeast Asia. In 2019, Nordic Innovation House Singapore (NIH-SG) share the mission to support other Nordic Circular Economy & Energy delegations with its core partners from Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Iceland.

The Liveability Challenge
10 January – 7 June 2019
In partnership with Eco-Business and Temasek Foundation Ecosperity, Nordic Innovation House was one of the Challenge Partners for The Liveability Challenge 2019. This is a global initiative that aims to identify and accelerate the implementation of scalable and impactful solutions within the areas of energy and circular economy for cities in the tropics.
As part of the Ecosperity Week (4 – 7 June 2019), the shortlisted companies and brightest innovators were awarded the opportunity to pitch before a panel of judges and investors at The Liveability Challenge Grand Finale on June 7th, in Singapore. In doing so, they were in the run to secure up to S$1 million, or cultivate a prestigious campaign on a private investor‘s crowdfunding site, namely FundedHere.
