TINC Virtual 2021 Proving Value
Last year we brought Silicon Valley to the Nordics by running our first virtual TINC accelerator program. We received great feedback from the participating companies and decided to host TINC virtually this spring as well. Again companies have the opportunity to join us from the Nordics as we bring the workshops, pitch training, and mentoring online. They get to work with world-class mentors and coaches and get challenged on – everything!
The program was kicked off on April 19th with a group of eleven ambitious Nordic companies.
The newest cohort of TINCers have their heads full of fresh one-liners, business models, and product/market fit ideas.
The companies started looking at the 10,000-foot view while crafting their handshake intro and pitch. They soaked in scaling sales and picked up golden nuggets during the founder talks and founder workshops. We have talked about risk prioritization, experiment design, metrics, behavioral design, fundraising, and data strategy.
In addition to three weekly workshop days the eleven companies have the unique opportunity of weekly 1:1 access to incredible mentors who are supporting to sharpen the company’s focus and understanding of product/market fit.
Participants report back that the TINC sessions have helped them get a better perspective on growth and scale. They also report that a few small concrete pieces of advice can change everything. The mentors have been relentlessly honest and challenged the companies on their current perceptions which has been helpful in shaking up their mindset. Their value propositions are getting better and more focused and they feel better prepared for talking to investors, partners and customers. Several companies are changing their business model and product. There is a high learning curve for the participants but with high value for further execution. It has been a few intense weeks and the companies all feel a stronger sense of urgency and are moving forward faster.
The feedback from the companies has been energizing and hosting a virtual program has shed new light that some companies would not be able participate in TINC without the digital option. We are leveraging our new digital platform under MightyNetworks and learning as we build along with the companies!
